Gardom Lake Bible Camp.

Gardom Lake Bible Camp, Enderby B.C.
The official best place on the face of this fair planet.

I just returned from spending the best three weeks of my summer at this fabulous camp. I had the time of my life! Basically, the entire three weeks consisted of fun, friends, not enough sleep, love, passion, and God. In a nutshell, amazing. I'm honestly already counting the days until I get to go back...

I left on June 28 at 8 o'clock in the morning, my parents drove me up, and left me there. I have to admit that I was actually sad that they left; I was horribly homesick for the first few days. The first couple days with our Jr. Staff team were semi-awkward, seeing as no one knew anyone else quite yet...we spent the first week just building up our team, getting to know each other, getting to know the camp and how it runs. It was an amazing week. After the second or third day all the Jr. Staff were pretty close already, it was fabulous. The first week was mostly training. I was assigned to help out with a cabin led by a fabulous girl named Michelle. My task was to wake the girls up every morning, to make sure they all got to breakfast, and then basically to spend any free time I had with them; just to build a relationship with them and to show Christ to them through the way I lived. It was a hard, but very amazing week. Two of the girls that were in my cabin came to Christ, which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It was a great reminder of why we were really at camp. The weekend was drab; the second week I actually got to sleep in the cabin with the girls; which was SUPER exciting. My cabin leader was Emily, and she was absolutely amazing! We had an interesting group of girls, but by the end of the week we were all really close and it was amazing. It was a really good week; not a lot of time to spend with the friends I had made the first week, but it was so good in so many different ways. Third week was probably one of the best...(what am I talking about, I can't rank them, they were just all so good!) I got put in a cabin with Shenise, who is absolutely amazing! Anyway, third week was good. We had a couple trouble makers in the cabin, but it was good overall. We had two girls who came to Christ that week! Best thing ever! Third week was also the saddest, because the entire week was like a really depressing countdown till we all had to leave. Friday night was good and bad all at the same time. Mostly bad though.

That's it in a nutshell. If you want more stories, you're gonna have to talk to me in person, some things just need to be explained face to face.
