Sixty-second Post Ever...cont'd...read the bottom one first!!!

(this is a continuation...read the bottom one first!)
Making REAL gingerbread houses is actually amazing! It was soo much fun! We had a blast just sort of throwing them together (in a very...structured and organized fashion...) Some pictures of us being "creative" and just goofing off!!! Loved every minute of it! Krystina...and Tya...and Moi... =P

And last...But certainly not least...(ew..how cliche is that?!) is Jon and Gab's wedding!!! It was so beautiful!!! I really want to get married now! We went to my friend Chantelle's house at lunch and got ready, were a couple minutes late to the ceremony, went to Rachel's house to make cards for the gift, and then got to the reception at 5:30 and were there until nine-ish. It was a great wedding! (for those of you who don't know who Jon and Gab are...Jon is my youth pastor, and Gab is my small group leader!!!) They are an adorable couple, and the reception was pretty rad too. I felt so pretty all dressed up and such! Chantelle, Shantel, Rachel and I made some pretty great jokes at our table (which we had to ourselves I might add....) and yeah. It was just a really fun experience. Rachel almost caught the bouquet! Not fair.
(here's me being all pretty in front of our Christmas tree! I'll soon have more of the group of us girls who went!!!)

Christmas is always a really busy time of year, but I love it. It's not like the rushed "hurry up we have to go do this NOW!" kind of busy, it's more like..."Hm..let's go do this, it looks like fun" kind of busy. But I think that in the midst of all the busyness we sort of forget who is the center of all of it. I know this is awful, but I think that every Christmas, it's more about me than about Jesus. I was contemplating this last night as I laid in bed, and I thought to myself "how many 'Jesus centered' questions have I asked this season? I know I've asked my parents what they got me, or what do I want to do...but I find that I never ask things like, what would Jesus want me to do here, or what can I offer Jesus." I realized just how self centered I am, and after just going through a period where all I wanted to do was please God, I think sometimes Christmas distracts me that way. I've decided to try and focus more on Him this season.

Ps. The TCOOR blog is updated! =D

Sixty-second Post Ever...

Well! Christmas is like...two days away!!!

I'm SOOOO psyched! (auntie claire helped me spell that word!! hehe)

Anyway...so since last time I have posted a LOT of stuff has happened!!! A lot of picture worthy events. Like, going to the Burnaby Museum with Uncle Steve and Aunt Leona, and NOT going to the school Christmas banquet (lol), and cleaning my room, making gingerbread houses in school, and going to my youth pastor's wedding!!!

So...we'll start at the top of the list and work our way down!

We went to the Burnaby Museum for an afternoon/evening family thing. It was pretty great. (you want to know what bothers me...is when people complain about going places with their parents! I would be soo bored if my parents never came with me anywhere! And I actually enjoy their company!)

So we went and saw Santa Claus, and watched about....ohh....3 minutes of a silent Christmas movie, and we saw a Swedish elf with his scarry, alien-looking reindeer, and we WENT ON THE CAROUSEL!!! That is the most amazing carousel I've ever been on! (and I've been on a my fair share of them.) Yeah. It was pretty great. We had loads of fun and made loads of "yokes." =)

Next on my list..was I think NOT going to the school Christmas banquet! I really didn't feel like going...and Uncle Steve and Aunt Leona were here, and so I didn't go. But I heard some pretty great things about it from friends.

Anndddd...CLEANING MY ROOM! woooaahhhh...you should all be amazed, because my room will probably never be this clean (or organized!) again. If you notice...the books aren't all over my desk, they're in a row. And ALL my purses are hung up. And the floor is clean! Spotless! You can see it!!! It's a miracle.

(continued in next post...lol..its WAY too long...)

Fifty-ninth Post Ever...

Well hr we r @ # 59.

That was a tad random..but ohhh how I looove msn lingo. Anyway. I'm here to tell all y'all about the WONDERFUL christmas banquet we had at zoisia last night. (I'm also telling you...from personal experience...that pop makes popcorn mushy if you drink it with a mouthful of popcorn.) So we had a power outage last night...I was all scared because I thought the power wouldn't come back on, and the youth banquet would be cancelled...BUT NO! The power came back and the banquet was fantastic. I got all prettied up and put my wonderfully brown dress on and went to the church! We took some pictures with my dad's HUGE camera..and yeah. It was pretty great. We had "chicken cordon bleu"(someone correct my spelling!) and it was yummmy. And then we basically just sat around and conversed. Oh how I love youth. It's amazing.

Now I have several projects that need doing by the end of the week so I shall leave you with some pictures from last night's "party!"

>cheesecake....(and my poker straight hair!)

>chantelle and shantell (did I spell that right??)

>>Caity!!! <3

Fifty-eighth Post Ever...

Wow...we've come a looong way since the first post ever. I've been thinking about how people grow up as the years (even months) go by a lot lately. So I've decided to take a look back at my VERY first post. (or maybe the second one, since the first isn't really posting about anything.)

*special dream effect/computer screen fades into misty looking page*

"Second Post!!! Yeehaw!!!

Anywho...so we're in Victoria now, got in about ohh.....5-ish. We'll be here till Wednesday and when we go home Chrisaleen will be with us! Her parents are going to Africa for like three weeks, so we get her till like the ninth... Pretty cool if you ask me!

Justina and Stephen are now officially gone! They left yesterday moring at like 6 AM!!! But yeah, twas really sad...it was all I could do to keep from crying while saying good-bye to them. And then when we went to church, I cried like all through the service...because it'll be like three years before we get to live near each other again, MAYBE MORE! But yeah, I'll be ok I guess, cause I can always go visit her.

I got to go with my dad to the co-op, so I'll check in on y'all later!"

Wow! That was a long time ago! Well, that was our little trip down memory lane...Oh wait! One more....

*dreamy music plays/computer screen fades into misty image again!*

"...I shall tell you all the places I want to go!
-New York (I'm going, for my birthday..hehe)
-Ireland/Scotland (It'd be so pretty there!)
-Australia (I want to see the Opera house...)
-China (Shopping!!!)
-San Fransisco (I don't know why exactly)
-Miami/Waikiki/San Diego/Maine/any other American city
-Quebec (I want to go skating on the river)
-Africa (again...I hardly remember living there) "
*screen fades/goes back to normal blog post*

Wow......since I wrote that I've been to New York...I've been to China and I've been to Waikiki!!! There are still some places that I would LOVE to go..but you can't do it all in one year! Anyways...I'm all excited, becuase the Youth banquet is in like....four days..and I might go to the school banquet...And I get to go to my youth pastor's wedding! So I have a really pretty dress, and accessories! It's pretty great!

So yeah...my computer (laptop) "crashed" yesterday...so today I get to skip P.E. to go get it fixed!!! It's alllll good!

=)

Fifty-seventh Post Ever...

Fifty-seven. Wow, that's a pretty big number. Well not really. BUT WHATEVER!

Anyways..I have some FANTASTIC news! I was going to go to my youth pastors wedding (I bought a crazy amazing dress by the way!), and then...his fiance (who is also my small group leader) invited us (her small group) to the reception!!! So yeah..I was really really excited about that! =D I feel special!

Anyway. The reason I'm posting is becuase we went (we as a small group) to see "The Nativity Story!" It was a fabulous movie, very well done...I would reccomend seeing it. It brings to light so many of the things that people don't usually think of when they think of the Nativity story. It's a great movie. And we went out to "After Thoughts" when we were done. (After Thoughts is a dessert place out here where we live) And guess who was there! Jon and his small group! How wierdd... Yeah.

So yah. The snow isn't gone yet, but I'm not really surprised. Dissapointed is more what I feel about it. But (as auntie kendra would say:) "C'est la vie."
